Overview
DataEngineerPro ("we", "us", "our") provides an online platform for data engineering interview preparation, including lessons, coding exercises, projects, and community features such as salary insights. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture so we can create and identify your account.
- Learning data: your progress, submitted solutions, exercise results, streaks, and leaderboard activity.
- Contribution data: content you voluntarily submit, such as job offer and salary entries.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and billing history, but we never see or store your full card details.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To provide the learning platform: saving progress, scoring exercises, tracking streaks.
- To process subscriptions and manage your Pro access.
- To show community features you contribute to, such as salary insights.
- To improve the platform and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the platform:
- Google — sign-in authentication. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy.
- Hosting and storage providers — to serve the application and store lesson videos and project files.
Data retention
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or payment purposes.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
The platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated policy.
